(All rules are WIP and subject to change.)
This section is basically an overview and a sort of how to?. In this section, you will learn about the rules that are not only specific to LoH:RTK, but to most simulation/roleplay games.
Overview
What is Legend of Heroes: Romance of the Three Kingdoms?
Legend of Heroes: Romance of the Three Kingdoms, or LoH for short, is a Simulation/Roleplaying Game set within the Late Eastern Han (The Three Kingdoms) period of China starting at the year 184, beginning with the Yellow Turban Rebellion. There are multiple objectives to this game, and each are dictated by the player. Maybe you want to be a master strategist? A bandit? The Emperor? An artisan? All of this can be done within this game. Usually, an officer (player), will join a lord (player). Relationships are built within the game. A story begins to form. Your story is for you to create, your ambitions your own. Many aspects of the game will be explained in other sections.
What is a Simulation/Roleplaying Game?
Within a roleplaying game or a simulation game one takes on control of a faction, person, society, etc. and in turn, and in this style, type out, and create a living flowing story with many other players of the game while affecting the overall world of the game. In Legends of Heroes in particular, you create an Officer which can start as a vagabond, and eventually (If one wishes it) become the Emperor. Battles will be fought and blood will be shed. Some characters will die. It's just another possibility of the game. However, the true goal is to create an engaging, flowing story for each character, and have as much fun as you can in the process.
RESPECT
This is the biggest rule of the game. Respect. We all understand that your character is THE BEST, but so is everyone else's characters. The goal is to have as much fun, without trying to ruin the game for others. When things go sour between two characters, it should not spill over into the players. Fights should not start because of a game and some fictional characters we are creating. Respect each player who is crafting their story. Even if the player is not as adept at writing or playing the game as well as you, but they are trying. RACISM, SEXISM, and HOMOPHOBIA will not be tolerated.

Posting Rules
- Posts do not have a word count limit. Sometimes the best responses are not layered in many paragraphs, but in a simple response. For this reason, there is no word count limit. However, some players will not roleplay with you often if responses do not have any depth.
- Cursing is acceptable. The game is set in a bloody time in Chinese History. Men fought to the death, and we all know they didn't go "Oh gosh darnit. Silly willy shot me in the heart with an arrow. Oh that turd burglar."
- Sexual encounters must be roleplayed via private messaging. Unlike with the cursing, while sex is a plot, the scene doesn't need to be explained in detail for everyone to see. This is not a porn forum. Keep those kinds of encounters in private messaging.
- Type in the third person. This is to keep confusion to a minimum.
- Unless someone specifies that a post is an open one, never interject yourself into someone's roleplay without their permission. This swings back to respect. Plus if someone has a route they are already planned on taking it, it would ruin their plans. Constant interjections will result in being banned.
